About Flavio Boccardo

Flavio is a Senior Project Manager and Technical Expert with more than 29 years of experience leading and analyzing large industrial projects. His work covers:

  • Project Management & Site Leadership – Directing portfolios over US$4B and site workforces of up to 7,000 people in pulp & paper, energy, ethanol, mining, steel, and industrial process plants. Hands‑on leadership from feasibility and basic engineering through construction, commissioning, and start‑up.

  • Claims, Delay & Dispute Support – Conducting delay and disruption analyses, time‑impact studies, cost deviation assessments, and causation mapping to support negotiation, arbitration, and litigation, including a US$48M arbitration successfully resolved in favor of his client

Known for turning around distressed projects, Flavio has, for example, reduced a critical completion horizon from 240 to 89 days (≈US$19.8M cash‑flow benefit) and repeatedly delivered major industrial plants on or ahead of schedule under challenging conditions.

Fluent in Portuguese, English, and Spanish, PMP‑certified, and holding an MSc in Project Management, he is comfortable working with executive boards, international partners, and multidisciplinary site teams
